National Academy of Science - Golden Goose Award webinar

The Golden Goose Award honors the researchers behind silly, odd, or obscure-sounding U.S. federally funded research that has returned serious benefits to society. The Award tells the stories behind these advances to highlight the non-linear, often serendipitous paths from curiosity to discovery to innovative solutions and technologies that have improved each and every one of our lives. Please join us for a webinar to discuss the history of the Award beginning with its founding at the urging of U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN) in 2012, to demonstrate how the award highlights amazing stories through some examples, and to discuss ways you can be involved through e.g., nomination and sponsorship.
